Levity is often described using the saying of never talking one’s self too seriously. Odell Brewing Company in Fort Collins Colorado created a beer that fits these terms with Levity Amber Ale. This is the breweries lighter take on what amber ale should be using Munich and honey malts to provide a full flavor but keep the personality of the beer light on both its feet and mind. A 5.1% ABV provides just enough to lighten the mood and give the drinker a great feeling of how great it would be to float above the ground.

Color:

Levity pours a very clear light amber color with a small white head that fades mid drink along with offering lacing up and down the glass for the entire drink experience.

Aroma:

A great malt note along with honey and a light floral bouquet start the aromas of this beer off slowly giving room midway through to slight citrus and bready notes that balance the nose out wonderfully.

Taste:

The malts really shine through in the flavors of this beer offering a great caramel note keeping the hops from overpowering. Midway through the bready character begins to shine through along with the hops giving the beer a great finishing bitter.

Mouth Feel:

A light body with full bodied flavors and the perfect match of carbonation make this beer crisp and refreshing. The bitter finishes put the pallet in a position to enjoy sip after smooth sip throughout the entire 6 pack.
